I've been going to Cherise for haircuts for years and she's the best! She listens carefully and asks the right questions to understand what you're looking for. She's great with wavy/curly hair and shag (or shag-like) haircuts, or anything really. I recently went to her and got bangs for the first time and I'm so happy with how it turned out! She has great attention to detail and her cuts make me feel more like myself.

Aimee is a very talented colorist. I have fine straight hair that shows every detail and she brought the life back to my bronde. From full highlight to balayage it always looks amazing. I’ve been to so many salons in DC and Bristle is just the best vibe. Love spending an afternoon here.

Aimee is the first stylist I’ve ever decided to return to. She’s real, perceptive, and grounded. A wizard with color and empowering her clients visions. Today I saw my older self while she was finishing my cut and it made me excited about my future, which is a surreal thing to experience during a haircut. Also I know we share space, joy, and responsibility outside of hair in the city and communities we belong to. It’s meaningful to work with a homie.

I’ve been coming here for years to get my hair bleached and toned. Not everyone’s hair can handle that process, but even for those of us who can, it’s a delicate balance finding a salon that understands how to do it gently — using less harsh chemicals and taking the time needed to keep your hair healthy. This is one of the few places I completely trust with my blonde. Every time I leave after a bleach and tone, my hair somehow feels healthier than when I walked in. Doron is my go-to these days (ride or die!), but I’ve been a loyal client since before she was even there. 10/10 — this place is absolutely worth its salt!

I cannot stress enough how perfect Bristle is. Super cute and cozy. The vibes are just perfect. I’ve had my hair cut by Aimee like 6 times at least and she is a goddess! I’ve also had my color done by Aimee more than once and OMG. She is the vivids queen! go see Aimee right now!
