I waited several weeks before writing this because I wanted to be sure I was responding based on the outcome, and unfortunately the outcome confirmed my concerns. I came in on January 10 for what I confirmed beforehand as a trim or haircut. I was charged $75 and tipped $15. I was very clear that I am actively trying to grow my hair out and that hair health was my priority. This stylist had previously told me to come in every eight weeks. I came in at ten weeks, and instead of a professional consultation, I was told my hair looked fine and that I did not really need to be there. That immediately made me feel uncomfortable and like I was an inconvenience rather than a client who followed the guidance I was given. I’ve been going to Mrs Tomeka consistently since May of last year and I get the best results every time. She cares a lot about the health of my hair so she’s always advising me on what I should do to keep it that way. Her salon is very clean and the environment is always very welcoming. I’d recommend everyone to go to her! she also has very reasonable prices.

I've been coming to Tomeka for 5 years now and refuse to go anywhere else, despite not living in Jacksonville. I currently live in California and come back to Florida about every 6 months for a refresh. I find her prices to be fair and the experience to be enjoyable, which is why I keep coming back. I have referred my friends of all hair textures (white, black, and asian)to give her a visit, and I have not yet gotten poor feedback. Tomeka is highly experienced in her craft and it shows in her work, specially when it comes to color. She has also taken the time to educate me on how to care for my colored treated hair, so I can maintain my results until I can make my way back to Jacksonville.

I've been coming here for a few years now for a Brazilian blowout. I did a lot of research and tried a few places before here, and haven't gone anywhere since. My hair is the healthiest it's ever been since I started with the Brazilian blowouts. It's definitely a long term investment! I wash my hair and it air dries straight. Less heat = healthier long hair. Highly reccomend!

I can’t speak highly enough of this salon. Blueleaf is the definition of perfection when it comes to haircutting, coloring, braiding and extension. I’ve been getting compliments all day today on my social media for the sleek hair look and hair cut. I have VERY thick hair and it’s very hard to manage, Tomeka was able to sleek my hair down. Her process was also very delicate. I have curly hair and she was gentle in blow drying and styling. Tomeka is an absolute professional and takes care of you 100%.. I highly recommend!
