Amen Hair Braiding

Pray to get a good braider before you go. I been coming here for almost a year and the 1st time I came the girl COULDNT braid so I got into the heavy set lady chair and she SLAYED!!! So I came back 2x after that and was beyond satisfied. But today... the same girl from day 1 was doing my hair. I showed her a picture and of course she murdered the cornrows so I asked for Medium knotless braids for $180 and she completely set my hair up and they tried to tell me that it was a good job. I asked for them to take it out they tried to save it... the girls shorted my hair had JUMBO braids as top and these skinny flimsy braids at the bottom because they was too lazy and cheap to add hair as needed. They didn't ask for the length, didn't ask for the style, I had to tell her to give me a middle part

Worst braid shop!!! RUN, DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. Braider was shown a picture, made excuses, and did not deliver style. Removed several rows to try to fix style and was still unsuccessful. Parts were crooked and too big for small braids. Again, I heard several excuses and no accountability for the terrible job. Went home and after looking at the back of my hair and how there were 20? braids for small knotless, I was totally disappointed and in shock. Returned the following day to request hair be redone. Again, after hearing many excuses, ie. The type of braiding hair results in thinness, most pics that you see online are wigs so your hair will never look like that etc. , Rebecca agreed to do my hair but only after I take it out myself, call her two days later to confirm she had a

Overall, extremely pleased! Parts could have a little straighter, and had to return the next day because I wanted it longer and the ends of my braids were burned (a BIG No No for me!). I returned the next day and thankfully I was able to get it fixed how I wanted it done originally (for $20 more), and while I was still displeased with my ends, I was just happy that I got my desired length as I was flying to New Orleans the next morning.

Myself and my daughter have been serviced here for years. These ladies always make you comfortable and go out their way to make sure they achieve the style you desire.

Do not waste your time and money here. If you do ask for the price before you get your hair done also the lady in the front with the funny teeth that speak French does not do Hair how you ask for it to be done and the lady across from her with the earring in her nose takes 5 hours for a simple style. I saw her charge a lady $180 for a ponytail. Do not use the restroom it’s dirty, no paper towel or toilet tissue. This place used to be great but they just lost 7 customers. Ladies you need to do better!!!!!
