I have been a loyal, paying customer at this salon for the past 11 months, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I booked an appointment five days in advance for 11:00 AM and even confirmed the time twice by phone. Upon arrival, the stylist insisted my appointment had been scheduled for 10:00 AM — which was not possible given I run a business myself, had arranged coverage for my staff, and drove 30 minutes to get there. At no point did I receive a courtesy call at 10:00 AM to ask if I was still coming. Instead of honoring the confirmed appointment, the stylist only performed half the service but still charged me the full price. I recently visited a hair salon in Yucca Valley on a mission to find a local hairdresser instead of having to go down the hill. I had called several salons, but either there was no answer or if there was, they would only respond with a text message, which is unprofessional. However, when I called Ambiance, Sarah answered the phone and scheduled me right in within the next couple of days. When I went in for my appointment, Sarah was incredibly nice, friendly, and accommodating. Her customer service was exceptional, and she made sure I felt comfortable and taken care of throughout my visit. I was thoroughly impressed with her skills and the overall experience at the salon.
