Al's Penfield Barber Shop

I had a puzzling haircut experience which was painful, yet I'll admit the haircut itself was good. I went home and took pictures of my new cut, and when I looked at the back of my head I saw these marks where I was feeling pain during the cut. Apparently Katie felt the need to jam the clippers into my head to trim my hair. I'm not sure why she would do this, but this is a completely unacceptable experience from a professional barber. You should ask Al why he has a barber working there that would do this to his clients.

Leaving one star because I can't leave zero. I'm writing this review for my father in law who is a 90 year old gentleman, a veteran and legally blind. He has been a long time customer and has always had good things to say about Al's until recently. His preferred barber is Carlos and recently he has had his appointments cancelled multiple times on the day of the appointment. Once is understandable, but multiple times is unacceptable and just plain bad customer care. Given that my wife or I have to drive him there is another frustrating layer of inconvenience. I suspect that he's being "bumped" for a more lucrative appointment as he just gets a basic cut with the senior discount which is again, total BS. We'll be taking him to a new barber today, so Al, you've lost a long time customer

I had a great time there my first time, the lady that cut my hair was very professional and kind but ever since that day I’ve called multiple times and the phone never even gets picked up, really upsetting considering I was extremely happy with the service and was looking forward to going back, if they would be willing to answer the phone for customers I’d consider going back but as of right now I’m just extremely disappointed with the lack of care

When my long time barber recently retired at Al's Penfield Barber I started getting my haircut with Kathleen. She does a very good job cutting my hair. Everyone of Al's employees do a good job cutting hair. I recommend Al's for anyone. It's easy to call and make a appointment and Al gets you in for your haircut in a reasonable amount of time.
