AK Beauty Haus

I love AK Beauty Haus. The salon is very welcoming and has some awesome products for sell. We have used both Sarah and Susan. Sarah is a talented and personable stylist! She has great energy. I have had my hair cut and colored by her and my three children gets their hair cut by her. She is excellent with children especially my son who has special needs. I needed to get my oldest child in quickly and Susan (the owner) was able to cut and color their hair. Susan was amazing! She was caring about my child's needs and included them in the whole coloring and styling process. Another talented stylish at AK Beauty Haus. I love it here and sad that we are moving out of state!

I’ve been coming here for years, although not regularly. Here’s what I love about AK Beauty Haus (formerly Mustard Seed Salon). They’re small. You’re not lined up in chairs assembly-line style with a dozen people talking over each other. There are only a few stations and they’re well-placed to either encourage the flow of conversation or give you privacy if that’s what you’d prefer. The lighting is really great and the salon tastefully decorated. Not fussy, but bright and welcoming. The selection of products is phenomenal and I love, love that they have also a good sampling of eco-friendly options to choose from. Susan did an amazing job on my color and cut. She was great to talk with and took time to learn about the style and color I wanted w/my hair. I was drowning in split ends and boring color. I absolutely love my hair.

Made an appointment a while ago. Something came up at work with my schedule, and I was unable to move my work around to still make the appointment. Tried calling the salon multiple times via the number that was given in the confirmation email, no answer. Emailed her to let her know. No response. Finally texted her and got a hold of her, and she was incredibly rude and told me that I should have tried harder to communicate with her because now she is out the money of my appointment. I explained all of my attempts, and she took no accountability for her lack of communication. Never rescheduled and would never recommended even attempting to book with her.

I found this place completely by accident, but I'm soo happy I did so! Nice welcoming atmosphere, the girls are very professional, magic fingers, and their skills speak for themselves! I was very satisfied with my haircut, and then I brought my daughter for an appointment, and she made my daughter look amazing! Susan is a samurai with scissors, and I will not go to anyone else! Very satisfied, and would recommend everyone to visit this salon, you won't be disappointed!
