Acqua Nails

My go to nail salon! I should’ve left this review when I first started going to Acqua over a year ago bc so many of us only leave warning reviews if a place is bad. This place deserves five stars. I see Lina and adore her but everyone is great. They’re clean, have a great color selection, and have highly skilled nail technicians. Pricing is nicer than where I used to go so that is awesome too.

Terrible Service at AcquaLuxe Nails Spa I had an awful experience at AcquaLuxe Nails Spa. The technician insisted on using a nail drill on my natural nails, which is illegal. After I refused, she cut the skin on my thumb with the cuticle cutter, leaving it raw and bleeding. She didn’t apologize and then applied rubbing alcohol, causing more pain. She also mentioned that my nails might not last two weeks, blaming my cuticles because she couldn't use her drill. The service felt rushed, my nails were thick and they started chipping after just one week. I paid and tipped for a gel manicure and regular pedicure, but she tried to use another illegal tool—a cheese grater—on my feet. To make matters worse, the customer service was terrible. such a convenient location with a parking lot right next door!! the staff r v friendly and work very quickly but at the same time r v careful and precise. i had a set of outgrown acrylics which i got done messily at a different nail salon and they fixed and filled them here beautifully. i also got a regular pedicure and they did a great job matching the color 2 my gel manicure. lastly i got a sideburns, baby-hair, mustache, eyebrow, full arms, full legs, chest, back, and brazilian wax which was the most painless process i’ve ever had waxing and went super smoothly. the total was $227($60 4 the french acrylic fill manicure, $37 4 the regular pedicure, and $130 for the full body waxing) which i was able to pay via apple pay plus a 20% or $45.40 tip (which the staff accept via venmo) will def

Every single time I come here it is such a wonderful experience — they do some of the best pedicures and eyebrows I’ve seen in DC. All of the nail techs I’ve had here are so lovely and commited to doing a good job, they take their time and truly care. Highly reccomend!!
