If you have curly hair, don’t come here. They really don’t know how to cut curls. If you still wanna try this place, make sure to book an appointment — I walked in and had to wait 45 minutes. When it was finally my turn, I asked for a low taper fade and just a little off the top, but it felt like they cut it however they felt like. I asked for the front of my hair to be cut just above my eyebrows — she cut it like two inches short, wavy above my brows. I asked if they had any curl cream to help define my curls and they had nothing. Just mousse. Its weird a "barbershop" doesnt carry any curl products. Every haircut is consistently perfect, and she always makes sure I'm completely satisfied before I leave. Her friendly and professional demeanor makes each visit a pleasure. Always get my fade just right! The shop is always clean, and the atmosphere is inviting. The shop is upstairs, and offers a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere from the moment you walk in. I’ve been going to 79 Barber Shop since they first open for weekly fresh cut. I always have an excellent experience, and consistently great haircut. Nancy is my go to, but Vy and Sandy is good too. They have friendly staff, and a comfortable atmosphere. They take appointments so there is little to no wait time and they also provide a hair wash if desired. I can't imagine going anywhere else, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality cut and a great experience.
