My “almond shaped” acrylics are tragic looking.. Probably the worst set I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, as soon as I kindly asked for the nail tech (Lynn) to try to file the nails down into a more rounded tip, she seemed annoyed that I would ask her to make adjustments and didn’t make much of an effort to make sure I was satisfied. Really disappointing service.

Best out of 15 other nail salons I’ve tried over 3 years. I had good experiences at all of these places with only a few exceptions. BUT Fifth Avenue Nails has my go tooth place for over a year because they check all the boxes.

My acrylics were lumpy and one caved in a couple days later. They also ripped off my old set rather than soaking them off, causing one finger to bleed for the duration of the appointment.

This was hands down my worst service experience. The initial impression of the store is deceiving – a cheerful lady welcomes you into what appears to be a clean and spacious place with good service. Unfortunately, their nail skills are seriously lacking. I had a painful encounter when the lady cut my nails way too hard. Despite my attempts to communicate the pain, language barriers hindered any understanding. Speaking to the manager was equally disappointing, as she seemed uninterested in addressing the issue. What's even more concerning is the suspicion that they might not be properly sanitizing their tools or replacing them for each customer. I have visited this nail salon a few times now and each time it’s always very clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I usually do a spa pedicure and either gel or dip polish. I love that they use citrus in the pedicures; it adds that extra special touch to the service. They also have a huge selection of gel and dip colors, which is really convenient. I’ve found that other salons in the area have one or the other but not both. 5th Ave having both makes it my first choice when I’m in the area.
