These ladies are amazing. The service was amazing. They make you feel seen and they listen to you. They ask what would you like done and exceed your expectations. 10 out of 10 I will be continuing to receive service here. They mean well and I think are fine for a basic wash and press with an early morning appointment. Otherwise you’ll have to do a lot of advocacy and explaining l. For context, I have gone to Dominican salons my whole life up and down the east coast. Some things here that were good: they did squeeze me in same day and ultimately my curls were nice. The owner is very kind and responsive. My issues: 1) I waited a full 90mins from arrival before my hair was washed and that’s because I complained. I have no idea why I was delayed so long. 2) I told them I don’t want or need my hair to dry in rollers. They insisted over and over. I recently had a haircut with Yvelisse and had a great experience from my wash with a deep treatment to my final results. I enjoy wearing my hair straightened and curly, so I wanted a cut that could work for both. Yvelisse was able to do that for me while keeping my length. Yesterday, I went to this salon for a wash and blowout and to trim my split ends. The results were spectacular! 👌 My mom and I did not have an appointment, but they took care of us immediately. It is a very friendly and team-oriented work environment! During my blowout, they offered free mini coffees; who can say no to that? We even decided to wax our eyebrows because they offer a variety of services. A one-stop shop! Yvelisse educates her stylists about the best tips for giving her clients the best blowouts.
