This barbershop uses a ticket number system that is supposed to ensure fairness: you take a number and wait for it to be called on the screen. Most Marines follow this system and end up waiting well over an hour due to severe understaffing. Despite this, officers and senior enlisted are given preferential treatment through a separate number system that allows them to skip ahead of everyone else. Even worse, there are times when they don’t take a number at all—separate or otherwise—and are still taken immediately while others continue waiting. This makes the entire ticket system meaningless. Nice work with the fades. I prefer a razor fade, it’s a couple bucks more, and beats any price out in town. I enjoy the music, it’s always upbeat. They’re fast and efficient with cuts, best to go during the week.

Received a Quality haircut today. I was prepared to wait so didn’t mind the time it took at all. Getting a haircut, on a military installation, on a Sunday requires some time management and responsibility of course. Mrs Brittney cut my hair and I was completely satisfied. This was after going out in town Yesterday (Saturday) evening and paying $25 for a haircut that looked as if I didn’t receive a haircut at all, Brittney was able to get me within Regs and feeling good again. Due to the superb customer service and positive experience I had today, I won’t make the same mistake again by going somewhere else. Every haircut I’ve gotten here has been butchered, the website says they open up at 0800 but that’s not true and I’m guessing that’s the staff just being lazy and agreeing to show up at 0900 instead. They play annoying Hispanic music, I understand there form Yuma but this is on base where we’re not all Hispanic, I’m sure there’s some neutral music they could play. They don’t want to convenience marines they just want to get you out as fast as possible and don’t care much about a quality cut. I will say at the very least they were kind. I will be reaching out to there manager soon on how poorly I think this shop is being ran and would be willing to get higher command involved.
