I had a really bad experience with salons in the past when I was trying to lighten my hair. A previous stylist thought bleaching my entire head was the best way to achieve the result I wanted, but it ended up turning my hair orange and frying it off. It took years for my hair to recover and become healthy again, so I was extremely hesitant to trust anyone with my hair after that. About a year and a half to two years ago, one of my best friends recommended Madi to me. I was definitely skeptical at first because of my past experience, but my friend always had amazing hair, so I decided to give it a shot. And I’m so freaking glad that I did. I went to Madi and asked for a reverse balayage to fix the harsh grow-out line from my last service by her. That did not happen. Dark color was painted onto my roots, and I ended up with thick money pieces that I did not want. The grow-out line is still there, which was the entire reason for the appointment. I’m extremely unhappy with the result as my hair has never looked this bad. I should have looked at the reviews before as this seems like a common trend for her.

If I could give zero stars I would. If you want to go to someone that’s just going to do a half ass job on your hair and not give you anything close to what you asked for and be very over priced you should go see Madi. I went to hair school I know things and she rushed through doing my hair and gave me like three highlights for 200 plus dollars and gave me lies of why she couldn’t do what I asked for. I’m very upset with my hair and this is not ok to do to me or others.

Wanderlust Salon and Spa is absolutely the best! I have never felt so at home at any other salon before. The staff is amazing and extremely talented, I refer all my family and friends to Wanderlust. I have been getting my extensions done there for almost three years now. I recently graduated and am planning to still make the trip up to Tallahassee from South Florida just to get this incredible service. You truly cannot find it anywhere else.
