Virgo Nail Studio

I used to come here consistently a year or two ago and always had good experiences so I came back when I decided I wanted to get my nails done again. The gal who did my nails was super nice and quick and my nails looked decent at first. Upon further examination I realized she overfilled my nails and the acrylic was going past my cuticle onto my finger. Within days they started getting caught in my hair and look super Rough. I’ve never had a full set thts done this and for the $90 I paid before tip I am quite disappointed. The first pic is from when I first got them done they look fine but if you look closely you see they went over the cuticle and a couple completely onto my skin. The other hand was worse. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My mother in law got her nails done here, and just got a simple acrylic set. She then got them filled about 2 weeks later. Once she took them off, she noticed multiple spots of fungus under her nails (see photos below). We proceeded to call and speak with a manager and he assured us this was normal. This is absolutely NOT normal. Neither of us have had this problem before going to Virgo. We politely asked for a refund and the manager told us there was nothing he could do because this happens with water under the nails. After trying to further the conversation, we were hung up on. This clearly shows how seriously they take customer concern and the cleanliness of their salon. Absolutely unacceptable. Will never be back.

I decided to try Virgo for a pedicure and manicure, as I had an extra 2 hours to spare before meeting someone for a movie next door. I have had many nail services over the years, but this place is by far the worst! Skin was trimmed off my thumb. My polish was rippling before I left. The nail "artist" kept trying to fix it but was making it worse, and both on my toes and nails bumped the wet polish and removed part it. After 2 hours, I had to rush out of there with terrible looking nails. Furthermore, this place was filthy, not just the establishment but some of the workers. The gals up front kept dropping the F bomb. A bunch of workers came in from a Costco trip and were dropping swear words left and right. I got my nails done last Friday (it’s Wednesday). It was my first time at Virgo and I got dip on my natural nails. Saturday, my thumb nail popped off while moving something. They fixed it for no charge. I left town on Sunday and that morning, my pointer nail came off. Monday, two more came off in my sleep. Tuesday all survived. Today, on Wednesday 3 have fallen off. There’s nothing they can really do because I’m not in town anymore, but this was an extremely disappointing experience. It’s been less than a week and I have 4 nails left from a DIP MANICURE. The girl who did them was very nice and apologetic when she redid the nail the first time, but this is ridiculous and has never happened to me before.

We received amazing and truly beautiful work done at Virgo from Yuki and Hayley 🤩. I’ve never left disappointed. I brought a good friend here to fix her prior botched manicure and she was very pleased with the end result. One of the best nail salons in the metro. Thanks for reading my Google review. 😊
