First off, I’ve always had great experiences here. I get my nails done consistently every 2-3 weeks for several years at this place and it’s always wonderful. EXCEPT every time I have had their technician Anna. This past experience really solidified that I need to tell others so they don’t get the same experience. Anna did my manicure with dip. During the process, she went over my cuticles 10 times at least and left seven of my cuticles actively bleeding throughout the service. She continued to buff and drill across my cuticles even after they were bleeding. She did apologize, but at the end of the day my fingers were bleeding and in pain. Additionally, I got gold chrome over black even though I requested white or clear because they said it would look best. They dipped my fingers in black

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was too disappointing and hurtful not to share. We came in today for what we expected to be a simple, fun outing for my 7-year-old daughter. The salon’s own pamphlet clearly lists manicures as a service offered, and we saw other young children receiving them while we were there — so when my daughter was flatly refused service simply because she was “under 10,” it felt confusing, inconsistent, and unnecessary. What made it worse was not just the refusal, but the way it was handled. There was no kindness, no effort to explain gently, and no attempt to make the situation feel respectful or age-appropriate. My daughter, who had been looking forward to this, ended up in tears standing in the middle of the salon while other children were being served.

A couple of days ago I attended the Village District Nail spa and you know what? I had an AMAZING experience. The owners the staff, they were all so kind and catering. I was a little nervous but they put me right at ease. I got a pedicure with a matcha treatment and it was the most soothing and life changing experience. Be sure to check this place out

I have been here twice and always leave a little bit disappointed. Both times, I waited about 20 minutes or so to be seated, which is okay. But then, I felt as though the ladies who do the service try to rush through it. The last time I had my nails done here, she had to have spent 15-30 seconds max in buffing my natural nail for gel-x, and now they are pretty damaged. It just all felt so rushed that quality was sacrificed. Also, when I left the underside of my set was pretty gross and unfinished. The set was generally beautiful, though, however, then my first nail fell off at about a week and the rest not too shortly after. It's a shame because its equally as expensive as other nail salons in the area without similar excellent quality.

I read some of the reviews and I had mixed feelings, I will say that I loved my nails. I was travelling and wanted to get my nails done. I went to Lynn, she was great. I got Gel X and they lasted a month and a half, which, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, but I had to soak my nails off and there was no lifting and my nails felt healthy. I've never had nails that lasted that long. I am always a little nervous getting my nails done by someone new. Lynn was super nice and did a great job at doing something nude and "simple" unfortunately because I was travelling, I don't know when or if I'll ever go back. But I will most definitely return to Lynn if I return to the area.
