Susan Venus is an expert for cutting curly wavy hair. Over the years I have tried various salons and I was never really happy just believing I had difficult hair. Now that I have found Susan Venus I realize these people just did not know how to cut curly hair. Susan Venus should offer classes in how to cut curly hair.The atmosphere of the salon is quirky eccentric interesting and everyone is friendly, unpretentious and professional.

This is NOT your typical snobby/hipster/sterile salon!!!! I was so pleased with my first visit to Venus Hair. All the ladies were so warm and friendly, with genuine personalities that made me feel really at home. As a small town girl-- I really missed feeling that way and I haven't felt that in so many years while living here in Houston. This salon is not just historic and funky, it's also filled with professionals who have decades' worth of experience. It's a very clean salon too! Becky did a really great job turning my faded blue-green hair back to a more natural red that looked good with my roots. When my husband saw it he gasped with surprise at how pretty it turned out! Also, I am SUPER tender headed due to a head injury. I didn't even tell Becky that-- she was so naturally gentle! So

Very professional cutting both my friend and I's hair, despite it being of different lengths. Haircuts have been life-changing for both of us. Previously my friend had an insane fear of haircuts due to a plethora of cuts gone wrong, but Susan Venus changed that.

What a gem of a salon! I have been overlooking this place for years. Becky gave me the best haircut I have had in a long time. She listened to my requests and executed the cut perfectly. The ladies are friendly, the decor is fun, and the price is right!
