Taylor did a beautiful highlight on my hair. I highly recommend her, she was super sweet and kind and thoroughly listened to what I was wanting. I have fine hair so it can be extremely hard to highlight properly. She did an amazing job. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Amela did a fantastic job with my hair. She was honest and straightforward about what could be done. She delivered and did a wonderful job. She was very reassuring throughout the process. She also took great care to avoid irritating my scalp (I have psoriasis). I would recommend her to anyone! I will definitely be back when it’s time.

Please read the reviews (e.g. by Lauren Gibbs) about individual hair stylists. I wish I had! On my first appointment ever at Velvet House with Lana (who clearly has a poor track record of honoring her appointments) she bumped my appointment to TWO WEEKS LATER without checking with me. And the blame is put to the receptionist or the scheduling system they use.

If you’re looking for a professional salon in the Bowling Green area, I highly recommend going to Velvet Beauty House. Amela recently did a balayage on my hair and I was blown away with the results. She does an amazing job every time and makes her clients feel so special. I love this place!!

Update: If my rating was based solely on Taylor, it would still be five stars. However, I booked an updo appointment and Lana took almost two full days to confirm my appointment and only did so because I went out of my way to call the salon. Then she canceled on my the morning of because she was going to need me to come in 2 to 2.5 hours after I was originally scheduled. I completely understand that life happens, but this really soured my desire to book here again. Taylor did such an amazing job with my hair and the booking process was also super easy! The salon itself is really compact, but super clean and conveniently located! As someone who just found them on Google with no connections, I really recommend this salon and Taylor!!
