Veluna Wellness

I had a really great experience with Selene at Veluna Wellness. Her style focuses on lighter pressure and fascia work with an emphasis on the nervous system, which was different from massages I’ve had before. Even though the pressure was light to medium, I was surprised by how much it felt like I’d had a deep tissue massage afterward — that same deep relaxation and heaviness. Selene was also very intentional about making sure I was comfortable, and it’s clear she’s put a lot of thought into creating a calm, welcoming space. I’m really looking forward to going back and working with her again.

I honestly didn’t really know what to expect from somatic bodywork, but I’ve been so stressed lately that I just needed something. Selene creates such a calm, grounded space. It felt like I was stepping into a little world of its own, which immediately put me at ease. The pace was slow and very intentional. At one point I found myself fully exhaling for the first time in a looong time. I left feeling way less wound up and just… quiet. In a good way. To this day I can still feel the effects of the session, as I am reminded that even though I carry a lot of stress and worry, it is not a permanent state of being and moments of reprieve are within my control.
