Vela Massage Retreat

Well, the three of us visited the Vella massage retreat not really knowing what to expect. Two of us were just going to have a relaxing sauna, and foot soak well the other one had a facial and massage. Little did we know that after the experience, all of us would feel so relaxed, pampered, and taken care of. Jen, the facialist was especially accommodating and really nurturing to the skin issue I had mentioned. This location, a retrofitted house on the side of a hill with a very nice deck was the perfect experience for us. It had something for everyone and we certainly will return.

A true sanctuary in Grass Valley. I often give my clients who buy or sell a Grass Valley house or my fellow Realtor colleagues a massage certificate from here because it’s such a wonderful place to relax. And they so generously offer sauna time before your appointment. The waxing here is also fantastic and couldn’t be in a more peaceful or relaxed setting!

Beautiful spa! I had Gabriel as my masseuse he was great. Sat in the sauna before the massage and showered to which was nice. We discussed where my problem areas were and he got to work! Felt like a new person!

Love Vela Massage Retreat. I first started going when I was pregnant for their prenatal massage. They do an amazing job and offer a discounted membership. They have a special table topper that has a cutout for your belly, so you don't have to do the side laying prenatal massage. When I was later on in my pregnancy I was tired of laying on my sides and my hips hurt laying on them too long, so being able to lie face down was amazing. It comes with a sauna session that I couldn't use while pregnant, but my credits carried over, so I still have sauna sessions available. They also let my partner take my sauna session when he wanted to. I am still going for monthly massages postnatal and am happy with their service every time. Great atmosphere and service. Absolutely recommend.
