VCU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I had an upper wisdom tooth extracted 2 days ago. It was the most amazing dental experience I have ever had. Dental experiences are usually terrible for me. They always seem to be so extremely painful. As an older woman, I've had a few. Doctor Youd even seemed to make the initial needles feel less painful. She removed my tooth quickly and painlessly, and two days later I have had no pain after the extraction. I HAVE BEEN TELLING PEOPLE THAT I THINK I VISITED THE TOOTH FAIRY INSTEAD OF A DENTIST.

I had a wonderful experience with this clinic. And my jaw Surgeon Dr. Renapukar did an Amazing job! I am 1yr post op & my dreams have really come true! Thank you so much everyone in this practice! Incredible! Pictures are below

He listened to my extreme anxiety at having a tooth pulled and explained the process along with setting the expectations as we went along the procedure. Thank you to Mary Birmingham for taking the time to set up everything properly, putting me at ease, and making a nervous process completely pain free with her outstandingly positive disposition and can do attitude. Definitely recommend both!

Dr Rabinowitz and Dr H Watson are the best. AWESOME, AWESOME and AWESOME. I had major surgery done in 2024. That lasted until now(6/25). They both explained the process in detail. I have a analytical mind. And can be a little bold when it come to me. We entertain alternate options. And we all agreed on my procedure. They both explained the process in detail before, during and after. I have found a dental oral doctor for life. Dr Watson, I will miss you. But I am happy to know you. I know you will do well in your future endeavors. Where ever you go. I know you will be a great doctor.

It wasn't my orthodontist first choice but because of insurance I was forced to make an appointment with this practice. The process of setting up an appointment was long, arduous, and involved several phone calls with VM's being left and returned several days later. The appointment was finally set for 2.5 months in the future and we were anxiously waiting to have a consult. They informed us 2 weeks before our appointment hat we owed $447 in order to hold our appointment. I thought this was a little high considering all we were getting was a consult. I called to discuss the charge and was informed that it was for a consult and an imaging that had to be done. I asked if it was possible to avoid this additional imaging and just review the images gathered by the orthodontist. I was told "no" t
