Va Nails & Wax

Stopped in Richmond during a long road trip to SC. We were walk ins and they did their best to accommodate us for 2 gel pedicures and 2 manicures, so I didn’t mind the wait times. The deluxe pedicure was amazing but my powder mani didn’t hold up as well. Got this done on Friday and now it’s Monday and several of my nails are chipped and one is bent. I’m sure if I was local I could stop in and they’d fix but the quality is a bit disappointing for a $60 mani.

This place is AWFUL. I went for a pedicure, the guy who did it was so rough. He cut at least 2 of my toes since the nail tool speed was so high, 1 was still bleeding the next day. I'm hoping I don't get an infection in my toes. Stay away from this place.

We were quickly greeted and put in a chair for a pedicure. Lots of selections for a pedicure. You can spend as little or as much as you'd like to. They did a pretty good job. They dug out on anything else which was a little painful at times. We were also offered a bottle of water and a snack all over we're getting our pedicures. The place was very busy but they were keeping up.

Came here once pre-C19. Had a great experience with Candy! My regular nail tech had an emergency so I called VA Nails about 2 hours in advance to make sure they could accommodate a simple short acrylic fill with french tip. Lady on the phone (Lisa) was very nice and said yes. Cool. EXPERIENCE: Upon entering the shop, the smell of urine met me at the door? The inside is old, but it's the middle of the day on a Saturday and it's totally empty? I was the only customer! Bad sign. THIS IS WHEN I SHOULD'VE LEFT. An older man (Don) comes from the back to service me. I show him a picture of what I want (unsure of what the language barrier is), and he grunts back? Ok cool. This was my third visit to this nail salon and I left extremely disappointed in the service and results I left with. Let me start by saying my previous two visits were absolutely amazing and the techs did my nails beautifully up until yesterday. I came in with a picture of what I was wanting but with a shorter length, a woman started my nail service. In the beginning of my nail service she was speaking to a male tech in a foreign language and then proceeded to start my service, and as I watched her do my nails I kept telling myself to trust the process even though I was watching her gob on huge amounts of acrylic. She did not complete my service and did not communicate with me that she was going to stop and pass me along to someone else in the middle of my nail service. As the second tech,
