Urbana Tanning

I would drive all the way over there to Urbana to avoid Palm Beach Tan, and I was just at Urbana Tanning on Friday. Then I get an email, although I never gave them my addy, that Urbana has already transferred their customers to Palm Beach, what?! I guess now I'll have to drive to Gettysburg because the Palm Beach women are relentless about selling you a membership even if you say firmly multiple times you don't want a membership plus they try to limit your minutes if you haven't been in a bed in a few weeks. Learning that Urbana Tanning is no more and now it's Palm Beach Tan is very bad news indeed!!!

I was leaving my tanning session today (loyal customer) and on my way out of the facility I in passing mentioned to the owner (Jeff King) that 3 of the bulbs were out in bed #1 (the most expensive bed - $40 per session) and to make a long story short, this man followed me to my car braiding me and telling me that I’m not allowed back… he was clearly agitated and was acting extremely aggressive for what seemed like an ordinary and informative comment… he was taking pictures of my vehicle and when I asked for his name he would not give it to me… about 25 mins prior to this he was being served or a citation of sorts was given to him by a FC Sherif… something is extremely off and not right. Please be careful.

The attendant in front desk was very kind. But the tanning bed is not what I’m used to, comparing to tan beds in Brazil, where they apply tanning lotion all over our bodies, before getting in to the bed, and with options for markings with tape.. At Urbana they didn't have any tanning lotions for sale - just that self tanning cream, not a stimulator tanning for me to pass before the bed, I’d buy but there wasn’t. I took the one they said is the best bed, and did an hour. I give 5 starts because the place is great, clean, chilling.. the servers are also good, there’s things for you to buy if you’re hungry.. and maybe the tanning is this way in here, lighter, no lotion and fully naked, no tapes. Anyway was a good experience, relaxing. Hope this encourages to maybe input some more optio

Absolutely love this salon! The staff is so welcoming and they never fail to greet every customer with a smile and send them on their way with a smile after they've got their tan on! And if you take the time to listen to the employees about their products you would be pleasantly surprised. They offer the lowest priced lotions with the best ingredients than any other salon nearby, and the memberships they sell have great perks to them, like BonusBucks, money that the owner puts back into your account when you're a loyal customer! In addition, if a customer is unhappy, all they have to do is call the owner and 9 times out of 10 they will leave satisfied with something they have worked out. 10/10 in my book.

First time ever getting an airbrush tan and my experience was great. I Had the pleasure of meeting and working with Haley who was very patient and kind, answering any and all questions that I had. The establishment was very clean and user-friendly. Thank you Haley for making my first airbrush experience a great one.
