Urban Nails was offering a 20% discount for new customers on a FB group. Thought I’d try it. Salon is bright and nice. Greeted at the door. I decided to get a pedicure and a manicure. I should’ve stopped at the pedicure. I got these services done last Wednesday. By Friday my nails started cracking, chipping and peeling. I called the salon midday on Friday. The gentleman debated that manicures don’t last as long as gel or acrylic and that it depends on how I use my hands. I asked if I should wear gloves and not do much with my hands (frustrated!). His response was no, but regular polish doesn’t last very long. Then why offer it? Why not tell customers that they’re susceptible to chipping, cracking and peeling within 2 days? He offered a redo. Made an appointment online and everything went smooth. Basic pedicure by Phillip. He was very good and quick. Nice leg scrub and took care of rough spots on my feet. I would recommend this service. Just by observing others getting manicure all staff seemed very good.

I walked in for a fill-in and a toe polish change, but was immediately told they couldn’t do stiletto nails. I was then asked to wait for the owner, who had left to pick up his son with no clear time of return. The staff offered no explanation, no timeframe, and showed very little respect or hospitality. Extremely unprofessional experience — don’t waste your time here, go somewhere else.

I just moved to Louisville this summer. I had been looking for a nail salon. I’m so happy to have found Urban Nails. Ricky and the rest of the staff have just been so kind, welcoming, and all very attentive to detail.
