Uptown Salon & Color Studio

This is the best salon I’ve ever been to! My stylist was Rose, and she was wonderful! She is meticulous, thoughtful, and involves you in the entire process! I have never been more excited about a hairstyle, and the color that she achieved was absolutely beautiful! She surpassed my expectations and I am excited to continue to be their client for years to come.

Rose has done my hair for about 35 years. I have had just about every stylist in the salon do my hair when Rose was unavailable. They are all great stylists and I have always been very happy with my hair. I usually get a color and cut, but occasionally get highlights, lowlights, and today received a hot oil conditioning treatment and scalp massage from Felipe, which was so relaxing. My hair is so smooth and soft now. He also did a really nice cut and blow dry. I highly recommend all of the stylists at Uptown Salon.

I was looking for somewhere last minute to get my hair done for my aunts funeral in a few days. I called about 20-30 salons around the area and when I almost gave up, I decided to try one more. Belle answered the phone and was nothing short of professional and understanding. She had me come in even though I explained that my hair typically takes a minimum of 2 hours and that I’m usually very anxious when new people touch my hair. She took about 30 minutes in the beginning of the appointment to really listen, explain everything, and understand the type of hair I wanted/typically get. I moved to the area about 4 years ago. I wanted to find a salon that used Goldwell hair coloring products. In the past I’ve been told that my grays are coarse and tricky to cover and that I might need to go darker (as in almost black) to cover my grays. But once I found Goldwell I was able to keep the rich warm dark brown shade that I loved. It’s also very close to my “natural” shade of hair color. I like my natural hair color because it makes me feel like myself. I found Uptown Salon after a google search and scheduled an appointment with Rose. I had no information for her other than the brand name of the product. At my first appointment my roots were several inches long and I am approximately 90-95% gray. I’ve been going to Rose for years and just recently began having my hair cut by Felipe. He’s a great addition to Rose’s team. He has great attention to detail and provides an excellent men’s haircut. Just as importantly, the whole team at Uptown Salon is welcoming and fun. My half hour at their salon is enjoyable and relaxing. I always look forward to my appointments.
