Uptown Beauty Supply #9

This used to be my go-to hair store for years because the customer service was amazing. The staff used to greet you as soon as you walked in, they were kind, helpful, and made you feel welcome. Unfortunately, things have really changed. The new employees don’t greet you, they stay on their phones, and when you ask for help they look irritated and bothered. As a paying customer spending my hard-earned money, the least I expect is basic courtesy and assistance. Sadly, the customer service here has gone downhill, and it’s very disappointing after being a loyal customer for so long.

Don't buy items here they will tell you to call the manufacturer. I bought a automatic curling iron and used it once and my hair got caught in the machine. It took my husband 30 minutes to get my hair out of the blades. The automatic iron was by Xpress. I am confused why the owner feels it is the customer's responsibility to contact the manufacturer. So there goes my $50 dollars for something I just purchased. There goes my business as well will not give these con artists none of my money again. Also get some more professional workers those ladies are not professional at all. One of the workers response was "He don't take those back"

I was totally embarrassed by Amanda. I am a 60-year-old woman who came in on March 27th on March 28th and bought some braiding hair at the last minute. I had to change and buy we weaving here. I asked the ladies. At the? Front if I can bring the hair back and buy some more hairs? She told me yes, when it was time for me to purchase Amanda loudly, in front of all the customers told me she was giving me this one chance to exchange the merchandise without a receipt. I showed her in my phone that I had a receipt that said uptown beauty supply with the amount it was a bank . Receipt., she said because it's not a paper receipt. She was gonna let it go this one time. But in the future I must have a paper receipt. I told her she didn't have to embarrass me in front of all the customers. The way

The staff here are super friendly. I shop here frequently because of the help that I receive when trying to decide on new looks with hair. They know what aisle every product is on and will point you in the right direction, and are willing to walk with you to locate it. Customer service in a hair store is rare. I always have a good laugh and a good time. I’m so glad there are girls in place here to assist us

Great store and they always have what I need in stock. Girls at the front are always nice but the girl working the back by the wigs/clips ins was rude, rude RUDE! Almost said forget what I needed cus her attitude was so bad. Find another job if you dislike working so much. The clips ins I purchased are also half the price on Amazon so may want to compare prices before spending the extra money in here.
