Being a natural blonde with finer hair and always being in and out of the ocean, I have always been pretty anxious to get highlights or balayages. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a balayage or a full highlight and I hadn’t had my hair done in almost year and a half. Charles listened to what I wanted and helped me pick the best service to achieve that. He also was extremely sensitive to my hair health and added conditioner to the bleach and chose to use a low volume recognizing my hair lifts very easily. I worked with Alin as my stylist and she was truly amazing!! I first met with her for a consultation in September, and she let me know she recommends waiting 2 months before bleaching my roots again (I had done full head bleach in June), which I actually appreciated because it seemed like she put my hair health first. And when I finally came back for my appointment in January (for balayage / color correction), everything she did was to prevent breakage and put the health of my hair first - the whole process took the entire day (12-8) and she was busy working on it the WHOLE time! I just got my hair done for the second time with Charles and left beyond happy with the results yet again. I’m super picky with my hair color and have been getting my hair bleached for the past 10 years and finally feel like I’ve found someone I click with in NYC. Charles didn’t rush the initial consultation, and looked at my inspo pics and told me what would be realistic and explained the techniques he’d be using to achieve this.
