Ulta Beauty

Stopped into Ulta today to grab a few things. Back home in Boise, the staff isn't the friendliest. Every time I go in, I make sure my guard is up and I'm on defense. What a horrible way to shop if you think about it. The staff is so rude there that you are literally shopping on edge the whole time. Just from past Ulta experiences, I walked in on edge today. But, it was totally unnecessary! The staff here is wonderful! Some of the nicest associates around. I couldn't find my shade in the Estee Lauder line and one of the sweet associates helped me. After they found my shade, they asked me if there was anything else I needed. They took their time with me and it was very much appreciated! My boyfriend and I were followed around the store and approached several times being asked if we needed help. I understand that it's their job but at a certain point it becomes annoying and makes us feel like they are assuming we will steal. To make it worse, we were smelling perfumes because I was interested in a new scent, we were approached again and the employee rudely said "let me know if I'll even be opening the perfume case" inferring we were just messing around and not interested in actually purchasing a perfume. I had a handful of products I was planning on purchasing and she acted like we were causing trouble, didn't know it was illegal to smell perfume

I came to this Ulta yesterday afternoon and browsed around was not greeted at all the store was almost completely empty of people there was about three shoppers around. . found what I was looking for got in line there was a lady and her daughter that’ got next to me on the other side of the line on my right side. I got there before her. I told her you have to get in line. She said “ i don’t have to get in line if I don’t want to”in front of the employees, the employees didn’t care and they rang her stuff up without telling her absolutely anything.. will not be recommending this location to friends and family. It was definitely a racing preference.

I visited the salon for hair tinsels and was thoroughly disappointed with the service. The stylist, who was supposed to be my assistant, kept running around helping other customers and constantly saying she needed to grab more supplies when she was suppose to have everything ready before appointment. While she was away, she would take an eternity to return and even charged me for extra minutes, even though she was mostly absent. Her unprofessional behavior made the experience far from pleasant.

awful customer service. After I told the cashier I didn't have a phone number when she asked me to put one in on the pin pad, she desperately asked me to put in anyone's phone number. Well i dont have anyones numbers memorized and my phone was in the car. I told her that. She got very upset with me and begged me to, saying it will really help her out (whatever that means) After I told her once again I will not be putting in a phone number I handed her my cash to pay. Im not sure if it was on purpose but she didn't give me my change back (almost 5 dollars). I had to ask her where my change was and then wait for who im assuming was the manager to open the cash register to give me my change. I won't be back.
