My little sister came to visit recently, and we decided to stop by Ulta while shopping at the mall. She was out of her favorite perfume, so we went in to make a quick purchase and possibly browse a bit more. Shortly after we entered the perfume section, a staff member began following us and watching our every move. This was something we hadn’t seen any staff do with anyone else in the store. What should’ve been a fun sister outing quickly turned distasteful. We both felt targeted and profiled, and it completely ruined the experience for both of us. On our drive home, I found myself explaining what it means to be a minority in 2025 (regardless of socioeconomic status) instead of reflecting on our weekend together. Ulta, do better. Hire staff who see customers, not color. I’m quite certain

I went there for a haircut, but I wasn't happy with how she cut it. I showed her a picture, but she just styled it her way—no real style—and it didn't take long. She’s so young; I think she needs more experience in proper haircutting. So, I went to another salon, Maven Salon on Cornerstone St., just to fix it. I'm really pleased because they did a great job and made my hair look even better with a nice style. I won't be returning to Ulta Hair Salon.

I have now been there twice requesting some help, and although both of the ladies were very nice, neither of them seemed incredibly knowledgeable about the products that I was looking to purchase. The first time I was looking for skin care products, which I have never used before so I was looking for somebody that would have good knowledge of a 55-year-old woman’s skin…. And again sweetest young lady, but she couldn’t have been more than 22 years old and definitely didn’t know exactly what products would work best for my skin. Went again recently looking for something for my very curly hair which again I don’t maintain that wonderfully and wanted to find something that would help me with that and I walked out with a new hairdryer because I needed one but not because I felt like it was actu

My daughter came in for a silk press. I am extremely happy with Laniya!!!! Not everyone can do my daughter’s type of hair texture, so I am extremely satisfied with her. Thank you so much!!! We will be back!

I had to pickup a Doordash Shopping order here last Friday and had no idea where to find anything. Ellie went above and beyond to help me find everything I needed and had such a great attitude about it. If you are ever at Ulta and need assistance, ask for Ellie!
