I made an appointment at the Sykesville, MD salon for January 18, 2026. I was called by Mackenzie in the morning of my appointment that the make up artist who I had an appointment with that morning was sick. Mackenzie came to my rescue immediately. She insisted on calling all of the DMV ulta salons. On Sundays there are only a few doing make up. She could not find a replacement and it was the day of my brother’s 50 th bday and I wanted my makeup done for that afternoon. Mackenzie stepped up and said that she would do it. I was desperate and she knew it and I was very grateful. Mackenzie is incredible and very talented. She is the manager and could wear every hat at the store due to her talent and relentless attitude. She stepped up to the plate and I am so happy to look at photos and video

This is my fourth time getting my hair highlighted by Miranda Franklin and she is absolutely amazing. Super nice, sweet girl. My hair always turns out amazing and I will always keep coming back! 100% recommend her for your blonde highlights!!!

Staff not very friendly, not helpful, and not knowledgeable. Sephora seems to be much better.

Extremely rude sales associates. I went in because I had a gift card to spend, but I will not be patronizing this establishment in the future. The employees could benefit from training on proper customer service (or basic manners).

Your store employee, Haley... VERY RUDE. I'll never visit this store again, nor will my family. I spend too much money at this store to be treated so rudely.
