a huge thank you to Dominque from the ulta salon!! i was definitely a bit nervous to get my har done at ulta but she made the experience truly lovely. she recommended products without me feeling like she was trying to sell me something! it was so nice having her keep me informed and updated on literally every part of the process as well as understanding why she was using each product and what they did! if you are ever in a bind and need a silk press, go to dominque! she’ll get u right!!!

Last weekend, I went into this location and was saddened by the fact that the employees were extremely unhelpful. Usually when I go into Ulta I am buying the same products and generally know where in the store they are located, therefore I don’t usually need employee assistance. This time, I was going in with some questions about new products I wanted to try because I was unsure of 1. where in the store they were located 2. which product would be best for my needs 3. trying a new perfume and wanted to see if they had a travel size and many other things. I was in the store for an hour, walking around to get an employee to help. One was stocking shelves and seemed confused by their work, and one was at the register. What I especially appreciate is that she recommends products when it genuinely makes sense for your hair, never pushy, never upselling, just informed, honest guidance that benefits both the client and Ulta. I had an unpleasant and unprofessional experience at the Ulta Beauty store located at 133-05 20th Ave, College Point, NY 11365. On October 10th , My husband and I visited the store. I purchased an Anastasia eyebrow pencil, and my husband purchased a hair product. As we were leaving, my husband accidentally dropped the eyebrow pencil. Because it’s a thin product, I was concerned it might have cracked, so I returned to the cashier to request an exchange for the same item. The cashier called a manager with RED LONG HAIR , The manager rolled the pencil all the way up and told me it wasn’t broken. First time visiting and needing to buy my daughter in law a gift. Wow, every major brand, easy navigation throughout the store, staff was at your service. I want to make ownership aware that the security guard on duty Sunday December 21 at 5:30 was most professional, welcoming and polite. A friendly smile and hello immediately upon arriving and a hearty have a good evening upon departing. Cudos to HR, you hired a gem of a young man.
