Tumabeth African Hair Braiding

Tumabeth is very rude. She talks bad about customers in front of other customers. I was booked for an appointment, I came in during my appointment day and time and was told the person that was supposed to do my hair gave birth that morning. Tumabeth didn't text me or call me or anything to let me know before leaving my house in pouring down rain. She pretty much kicked me out saying nobody else could do my hair that day and mind you it was as soon as they opened. She couldn't accommodate me even for later in the day. Little did she know my friend was also there getting her hair done by Tumabeth herself. My friend recorded everything this woman was saying about me. All the trash talk. Tumabeth is a pitiful human being.

I found this shop on Instagram and booked an appointment online. A really nice lady named Modupe braided my hair and it turned out beautifully. She worked quickly and was very gentle. I would definitely recommend this shop.

The service seemed extremely rushed. This is the first braided i went to that didn’t wash and condition your hair before braiding it. The braids would have came out better if they did.

I'm sure the work is good, but making an appointment is beyond ridiculous. Tells to come back at a certain time, then lies and says she said something different. Why do you make it so difficult for me tog iv you money?

I’ve booked twice and both times I loved how quick each braider got me in and out. The first time I had Ebony and I loved my knotless braids. The second time, while I don’t remember the stylist’s name, I feel like the knotless braids were a little too bulky at the root for my liking. The braid itself is beautiful and tight and she really did take her time, hence why it didn’t bother me too much. I think it’s just worth noting in case you’re wanting flatter knotless braids at the root. I would definitely return.
