This is my go-to salon, bc the folks here never miss! From shaping to nail art, Topcoat is the GOAT. I recently came back to them after trying other salons and I do not know why I strayed, other salons in Baltimore leave me with crooked, overly thick application that pmo every time I look at my hands. Don’t worry- topcoat fixed it and now I cannot stop admiring my nails! Things to know: They do not take walk-ins, plan ahead for busy holidays. They require a $30 deposit (goes towards your service) when you schedule your appointment. If You want nail art, be sure to request it when you make your appt. It’s slightly more pricey here than other places but well worth it. Very clean. Woman-owned.
Really cute place right in downtown. Its a very easy walk there if you're visiting from out of town. I appreciate they were able to fit me in same day. You will have to put a depsoit down. The design is beautiful I absolutely love what she did! And the hand massage afterwards was a nice touch. I will say it was a lot more expensive than what is advertised online. I was expecting to pay $70 for a full set dip with tips (thats what it says online). I did get the almond shape so that is a little extra but I didnt expect to pay $40 MORE for shaping. (I paid $110). Not to mention the shapes are off. My middle fingers 1 is almond and 1 is round as you can see in the picture. So just be aware that the pricing is much higher then what they have on their website.
Very professional and super cute set up. Love the convenience of parking validation and easy appointment scheduling. I was drawn to this style on their Instagram and they were able to replicate the dip design with gel on natural nails. First 2 pics are day of, 3rd is 12 days later! Looks basically brand new. They are still masking so please be respectful of that. Great experience and 100% recommend
The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is nice but this place is overpriced for mediocre work. You have to put a $80 deposit when making an appointment plus additional fees when your service is complete. For my gel x manicure I end up paying about $140, not including the tip I give them. I’ve given this place multiple chances due to nice staff. I started coming here in November. I have been getting the gel x due to them saying it lasts longer but this always falls short of the truth. It barely lasts 2 weeks. Currently my gel x was a week and a half old when I messaged them that it’s already lifting. They will be nice enough to fix it but it’s very inconvenient driving back 35 min and time consuming especially when I was just there a week ago. With how expensive it is I shouldn’t have to
I had the pleasure of visiting Topcoat last Saturday (7/31). My time there was nothing short of amazing. The staff here are kind and attentive. They’ve really created a peaceful atmosphere. First, this place gets booked really fast so it’s best to call in advance. I called a week in advance and set my appointment. I had to pay a deposit of $80 to secure my appointment for the gel x manicure. I started off with a pedicure and then got a gel x manicure. The pedicure was great. The person who did it was very nice and took their time. My manicure came out wonderful. The nail tech was great and did the designs exactly like the picture I showed them. My total for everything was $190. Was it worth it? In my opinion no. The only reason I say this is my nails started to lift on day 3. My nails
