Tomahawkers Barber Shop

There's something to be said about a small town barbershop. There's a feeling you get when you walk in the door and you're immediately transported back to a different era. A simpler era. An era where time moved more normally and things made more sense; maybe because things all had their place and were therefore, more commonly understood. The simplicity of a chair being offered and an apron being applied, followed by the most basic of questions, "What do you want today?"and " How short?" Then the slow swivel of the chair and a master craftsman setting forth, with clippers buzzing and small talk humming, to do his care- filled work. This is the beauty of places like this. I love the walk in style no appointment needed of this place. Arch is definitely one of the best I've ever dealt with. Not to mention he's actually cheaper than crummy supercuts. Give him a few chances and he'll remember how you want your haircut.

Just finished getting a haircut at Tomahawks and I gotta say, Arch knows how to make you look sharp! He's no nonsense and gets right to the point. I'll be going to his mens barbershop as long as it's open for business. Excellent work!!

Poor attitude and unfriendly. Seems to resent his customers. Showed up at 9am when the shop opened and he seemed angry that I was there. Told me "you are going to need to take a seat for awhile so I can get the shop ready". I sat for 10 minutes and he never acknowledged me again other than to have me move so he could sweep his floor. I left. I think I will go to Auburn and find someone that will appreciate a customer. Haircuts here are not bad if you can look past the complaining.

I walked in and asked for a haircut. Got turned down because he said "I don't do women" I have a men's haircut, but he said he would not do it because of my gender. Then was very rude and sexist.
