$140–160 Extremely disappointing front-desk service. I asked a simple question about the difference between a Master Stylist and a Director Stylist, and the receptionist responded with, “They’re different because the price is different.” This was not only unhelpful, but also dismissive — especially when the entire reason I asked was because of the price difference. A receptionist should be able to explain the difference in experience, training, or skill levels, not repeat the price list back to a customer. What made it worse was the attitude shift: she was cold and uninterested with me, then immediately turned warm and friendly to the next customer who is a white male. Great first experience at this salon. I was looking to try a new salon for both haircut and color last Friday and I was enticed by the reviews here and called them if I could be accommodated the same day, should they have the availability. Lucky they were able to immediately squeeze me in at 2PM for a haircut with Miki and a haircut consultation with Virginia with the actual color to be scheduled. Turned out to be even better. Miki's haircut was really nice + she's also just wonderful. I ended up being convinced to cut off 3 inches to make my hair lighter as well. As for the color consultation, Virginia was great and actually ended up accommodating me right away because she finished her other job earlier. I visited the salon for the first time today and had an amazing experience. Taka and the lovely woman with the pretty bangs were phenomenal! Taka gave me great advice and styling tips, gave my hair a healthy cut, and is truly a perfectionist. I LOVE how my hair turned out. First-time clients also get a discount, which was a nice bonus. The salon has a cool rustic gold vibe that adds to the charm. Highly recommended!
