I had my first official appointment a month ago but here are my thoughts: This is the most holistic soul pleasing hair experience I have ever had. From my consultation to my micro loc appointment. They have created a space where not only I get premium service but my whole being is pleased. I mean when you walk in you are greeted and offered complimentary bevarges and a little snack if you like and when I say snack it was a bowl of chili that was so flavorful (every month it changes I think) The space itself is very holistic, clean, balanced and efficient. I was provided with knowledge about my hair, products and just the pleasure of conversation as well. Just know the books stay full so if you get the opportunity jump on it. My mood immediately changes when I enter the Way of Life Holistic Hair Haven. I typically go after a full day of work and a decent commute time in Houston traffic. But, I shed all my stress as soon as I cross the threshold. The salon is so PEACEFUL. My stylist, Hahleemah, is PEACEFUL. The intentionality built into the entire experience engages all five sense. What you see, hear, smell, taste and touch creates and saves space as a HAVEN for the whole person -- not just hair. I often remark that everyone that leaves the salon looks like fire. I know it's because when you look great, you feel great too. When I walk out the door, you can't tell me a dang thing! :) I HIGHLY recommend The Way of Life!

I recently reached out for a consultation and when I entered the space, the positive energy and peaceful aura met me at the threshold. My consultation was with Maya and she spoke with me about my hair care goals and the services she provides. Once we agreed on a care plan, I made an appointment for my service. Let me tell something…. There is nothing like a space that is curated with intention and service providers who create an experience that centers you and shares their gifts. This is what Hahleemah Wright has created with her salon. Her vision of providing a haven is embodied in her space. I haven’t felt so cared for and attended to in this way in many places. It was truly a gift and a holistic experience.
