The Studio: A Hair Salon (McCordsville)

I’m super bummed. I just moved to McCordsville and this was the first time in 7 months having my hair done since having a baby. I did not get what I booked, asked, or paid for. I got there 15 minutes early. No one acknowledges you when you walk in. Tried to see if I needed to check in on their tablet at the front. No one said a word to me for 10 minutes until my stylist (that I had never met before) asked if I was her next one. I will say the salon seems clean and my stylist was sweet and easy to talk to. I booked for their longest duration and most expensive service they offer (Highlight +Plus (Extra Blonding) with Haircut/ Blowdry) almost 2 months in advance, as I had about 3 inches of new growth and wanted to be lighter. I really love my hair. I been too worried about babies, ball games and holidays to take care of myself. It been years since I was at a salon, so I was looking forward to today! Megan was my stylist and she did an amazing job! I have really thick hair and she took her time to highlight each layer and thin down my hair. My hair color is just phenomenal now and the highlight gives such natural look! I would definitely comeback!

I love this cute little salon so much. The atmosphere is quaint and cute. Myra does my hair and she is so sweet and always gets my hair just right. I rock a short bob haircut and not every stylist can cut a good bob. She always gets my hair just right and she does a beautiful lived-in blonde balayage that I don’t have to go get touched up all the time. Highly recommend Myra. Also, Juana has started doing my twelve year old son’s hair. He has been doing the popular permed style and she is also great. Everyone else seems awesome too. It’s just a great place to go to get your hair done.

I sent my daughter here for a highlight and trim. She came home crying! She is already very blonde and just needed her highlights touched up. She said she showed the stylist her inspiration photos and the stylist seemed to be on the same page. When she came home I saw it was barely any blonder. Which is irritating after spending almost $200 but figured we could just go somewhere with more experience to fix it… but after looking through her hair there are all these bright yellow spots underneath where the few highlights are. She looks like she has yellow cheetah print throughout her hair!! Can’t imagine letting a client leave like this! She also said her stylist started talking about politics which made her uncomfortable. Unprofessional through and through.

Always a 5 star experience with Autumn! I have followed her from her home salon to her living room to three other salons. No one else is allowed to do my hair!
