The Shop on Market Street

Took my 2 yo toddler here for a haircut with Ashly and it was amazing experience. He got to sit in a motorcycle chair and Ashly did such a good job on his haircut! Faded perfectly & she was so so friendly. My guy loved the experience, we’ll definitely be back

Five stars? I wish I could give more! I highly recommend this barbershop! Ashly has been cutting my hair for over 12 years now, and I highly recommend her to everyone. She also cuts my 4 year old son's hair, and always goes above and beyond to accommodate the 4 year old's attention span and potential moodiness... If by random chance, I need a quick appointment or Ashly is unavailable, Kristina has always done an fantastic job too!

Updated Review - At first we had very positive experiences here but the last time I took my 3 and 1 year old it was far from a great experience. We booked our appointment 2 months before in January, had the confirmation email, confirmation text messages, as well email and when I arrived with them I was told my appointment was the day before and I missed it. Even though I had every confirmation my appointment was in fact that day I was blamed without an apology that it was either my fault or somehow the system was sending me wrong messages. Either way there was not a recourse put in place unless I wanted to wait until they were done for the night or bring them back another night. I understand it's a busy place but both owners were there and neither took the time to step and find a solution.

As somebody who recently moved to West Chester, there were so many different places to get your haircut. After digging through many of the establishments in town, I decided on The Shop. They are not only award-winning but conveniently located right on Market Street. They are affordable and use an easy booking system through their website. I went with Sara, and the experience was great. She was charming and did a great job, and I enjoyed getting shampoo, which was refreshing after. They do only take Venmo and Cash, so be aware of that. Otherwise, it was a warm and cozy location that was well cared for. I will be a repeat customer! Thank you again!

Just had my first haircut at The Shop this past weekend and was throughly impressed! Super clean, great staff and great location. I followed my favorite hairdresser, Shanna, here after she moved from a different barber and can’t recommend going to her enough! Shanna always leaves me looking like a new (and better looking) person and I highly recommend requesting her for your next cut!
