The Shave Cave Barber Lounge

I’m new to the area and after looking at several reviews I booked with Los @ The Shave Cave. He was extremely good with my 7yr old and he made us both feel comfortable. Finding a new barber is extremely hard and I’m glad I chose this shop. He was extremely personable when talking to my son and he did an excellent job on my son’s edge up. My son has really soft hair so I was nervous but no regrets. My son said he was comfortable like he already knew him. We’ll be booking again and it’s worth the 30 min drive. As an added benefit he was also able to get us a referral to someone to do our locs. Thank you Los!

Just had an amazing experience at The Shave Cave Barber Lounge. The vibe was welcoming right from the start, and the staff is super friendly. They really listen to what you want and give personalized advice on what would look best. The haircut I got was spot on – sharp, clean, and exactly how I pictured it. Plus, the level of service here makes you feel like a VIP. Definitely a place I would highly recommend to anyone in the Winston Salem area

Ok, so where do I begin? I’m a barber with 12 years of experience who recently moved to the area to work for an engineering company. I scouted shops near me and found Shave Cave Barber Lounge and Exclusive Barber Lounge. I decided to go with Shave Cave since Exclusive Barber Lounge looked like it had seen better days. I was a walk-in and didn’t wait long before being greeted and seated. The barber asked me what I wanted, to which I gave him clear instructions: a 2.5 on top with the grain and a bald mid-fade. He proceeded with the haircut, but I could tell early on that it wasn’t going well. (People know when they’re getting a good cut, there’s a certain workflow. Barbers especially can tell when the right steps are or aren’t being taken.) About 7/8 of the way through, he handed me a mirr
