i really didn’t want to leave a bad review especially because i’ve been here before and had a great experience, but unfortunately i feel like i need to now. i got my hair colored by kristin last week. i asked for a dark blue, but specified i did not want it to be black. the color turned out completely black. i was very upset but when leaving the place i didn’t say anything as i thought maybe it was just the lighting or i needed to wash it, but after a week of washes, it’s even less blue, it’s now black with a brown undertone, which is not what i wanted or payed for at all. i texted kristin the day after the appointment and told her i wasn’t happy with the results. honestly if she had apologized at all i probably wouldn’t feel the need to leave a review, but in her response she tried to con

I've been seeing Nicole for over 5 years for haircuts. I had been getting my hair done in Seattle before then. I was so happy with her the first time that I started coming up to the island specifically for her to cut my hair! I finally felt like I found someone that actually listened to what I wanted, or didn't want. At some point we added on a brow wax and it made me wonder where she had been hiding my whole life! I now see her every 4-6 weeks for a brow wax/tint and every few months for a trim. I always recommend Nicole to friends and family for any hair or waxing needs! The salon itself is also very clean, quiet and cute!

The Rock Hair Studio is AWESOME! I have a hard time trusting people cutting my hair based on past experiences, but Nicole worked with me and took the time to make sure I was comfortable with how she was going to cut it which I really appreciated. I love my hair style now!! 🥹

I have had my hair cut by Kristen for the past 13 years and when she moved her studio into this new space it kicked it up several notches. The ambience is warm...the decor is very nice...and there is an open and bright feel to the space. As to Kristen's barbering skills... no matter how long or short I've worn my hair over the past 13 years...she has done an AWESOME job of styling or just cutting / trimming it ! Also...Kristen has a GREAT personality...she is always interesting to talk to about a wide variety of topics...PLUS she has an EXCELLENT sense of humor ! I'd give her 10 stars on a 5 star rating ! 👍😉🇺🇸👌

An amazing place to get hair done and have a great time! Nicole really listens to what you want so you’re comfortable all the way through. Also, she is great at answering any questions about hair or products! Honestly can’t recommend enough! Thanks Nicole💛
