The One Nail Bar & Lash

Okay let me start by saying I grew up going to nail salons but haven’t been going for 6 years now due to a lot of bad experiences that have been normalized in most salons. That being said after seeing all these reviews I decided to drive from Queens and give this a try and I am beyond impressed and extremely glad I did! I went with my mom and we had not only phenomenal treatment but we weren’t rushed, all technicians were pleasant and the overall quality of service was amazing in all aspects! The place is giant, clean and well managed. They offer complimentary drinks including cocktails, wine, lemonade, juices etc. I got the Piña colada and it tasted amazing! I went today for the first time & I had a great experience! I did not have an appointment & fortunately did not have to wait. I did gel mani and my mother did a spa pedicure & gel manicure with Sam. Sam was great & my mother was pleased with the service she had today. As for my manicure, the outcome is exactly what I wanted to look. Brian did my nails & I am looking forward to booking appointments with him in the future. This is a great location as there is a large parking lot and since it being located in a shopping center, there are plenty of things to do in the area.

After my gel manicure today, I cannot recommend this place. The pictures of my nails were taken just five hours after my appointment, AND I had already returned an hour after my appointment to repair a nail that had started chipping. My thumb is starting to lift too. This is incredibly disappointing because I got my nails done for a wedding we are going to later this week. I am also a working mom of two small kids and in school, so I am gutted that my time and money were wasted. Update: I called and asked for a refund multiple times. They just kept asking me to come in again, but I did not have time nor did I want to go back. I could not dispute the charge with my bank, so that was $40 down the drain.

4 stars because the first two visits I had were great. Buildable gel manicure the girl at seat 3 is amazing and the guy at seat 2 also no issues both did the best manicure shaping etc I could ask for. Third visit. Peter manicure seat 6. From the time he started talking I knew this visit was going to be horrible. He didn’t ask me to cut my nails or the length or what color I wanted. He started talking about how next time I come I need to do a new gel set.. meanwhile the last two times I asked the techs to do new sets they said my current ones were perfectly fine. He proceeds to tell me how I’m going to love how he does my nails (meanwhile he was already doing them the most horrible you can even imagine.) I went in and wanted to get a powder manicure, the guy at front desk was trying to charge me more saying the price was $66 and another lady at the front said $56. They kept switching between the prices as if they didn’t know what the price was. Eventually went I went to sit down and the lady was doing my nails she never got the powder to do my nails she made me switch to builder gel which was an additional charge for $10 dollars. The lady said that the builder gel was stronger and would last longer up to 3-4 weeks. Which WASN’T the case as 4 days later my nail had broke off with no pressure or anything, I was reaching into my pocket for my phone when it broke off.
