The Oak Ave Barber

Sarah gives the best fades hands down. She listens to what you ask for and somehow remembers every time what your haircut has been without having to explain it all again! I have a bald spot on my head and she manages to cut my hair in such a way it’s nearly invisible even with a fade like mine. She’s also just really kind and professional, if you like to chat she’ll have a nice chat but if you prefer not to talk as much she’ll vibe with that too and not make it awkward. I’d only ever been to salons or cut my own hair before but this barber shop and Sarah specifically is the only one I go to now.

First, the cut. No one cuts my hair like Sarah. Her attention to detail is incredible and it's what keeps me coming back. She is also the owner and this shop is a testament to her hard work and talent. If you can't get in here, I highly recommend you go to her sister store, The Brookfield Barber. You'll find nothing but top quality barbers on her staff who are also fun and welcoming.

First time customer. Isak has an incredibly light and deft touch with the clippers and razor--and the hot towels and aromatic unguents made for an incredibly relaxing barbershop experience. Even the coffee is good! I highly recommend this establishment.

Had a scheduling snafu. It wasn't even a big deal for real, but they treated it like it was. They bent over backward to make it right. Their website says they value quality customer service and they aren't lying about that. Natasha is incredible. I don't have a ton of hair (much to my dismay) and she somehow manages to get away with a haircut that I love both times I've ever gone to her. 10/10 service, 10/10 stylists, 10/10 atmosphere. I would recommend them to you, but then I'd be fighting you for appointments and I'm not with that. Go somewhere else (jkjk, book today fr).

This is my first review from a few weeks ago. I got a haircut here for the first time with Karen. I was referred by an FB group about the The Oak Avenue Barber. Karen was very nice, professional and attentive. She paid attention to what I was looking for and made sure I left happy with my haircut. I plan to come back soon for another haircut with her.
