The Nail Place of Charleston

I booked the Charleston pedicure ($47) online, but from the moment I sat down I was pressured to “upgrade” to more expensive options—even after repeatedly saying no. The tech rolled her eyes, sighed, and made comments comparing my choice to my friend’s “better” deluxe pedicure. The upselling didn’t stop there—$25 extra just for gel polish (which is unusually high), and I was told $5 to remove old gel. At checkout, they changed it to $10, even though both the tech and manager originally quoted $5. When I questioned it, the manager refused to come out and the front desk just insisted “no, it’s $10.” In the end, I paid more than the deluxe pedicure. The Nail Place is by far the best nail salon in Charleston! Whether you need some last minute and have to be out in 30 minutes, or you want a design, or a relaxing pedicure, they do it all! All the staff makes you feel as if you are family and I feel happier the second I walk in! Marilyn does my nails and her work is incredible, but I would trust anyone there to give me exactly what I need! Could not recommend enough!

Giving 4 stars but it has the potential to be five stars. The tech was trying to do multiple clients at one time that I believe took from the $120 ultimate pedicure experience I was expecting. Left us with excess oil and lotion all over. Could focus more on the experience. My wife got her nails painted and she says all the nail tools were dirty and used. Nice setting and very pleasant staff.

The salon appears clean and is certainly priced like a high-end establishment, but the service I received was extremely poor and absolutely not worth the cost. From the beginning, the customer service was unprofessional. The nail technician was dismissive, and the owner was equally rude when I tried to express my concerns. Despite paying for a pedicure, my feet were barely placed in the water for a few seconds, and no real cleaning was done. It is unacceptable to trim and polish someone’s toenails without first properly cleaning and preparing the feet, yet that is exactly what happened. When

The Nail Place of Charleston is hands down the best nail spa in Charleston!! Montanna Owen has been doing my nails for little over a year. She’s an amazing free hand nail artist! I have never been disappointed with her work. Everyone who works there is so kind and so talented. The salon is super clean, stylish, has free parking a huge selection of polishes and lots of friendly faces. Love it there!
