When he spun me around to the mirror, I didn’t recognize the man staring back. I looked like I had opinions on wine and maybe owned a boat. I’ve been going to Mark for years. He never disappoints. It’s nice when someone values their clients, never late, never cancels, my expectations these days are extremely low for dependable independent workers. It’s nice when you don’t need to worry. I don’t just go for the haircut. I go for the old school atmosphere of conversation, jokes, and entertainment. The place is not New Boston, it is one of the few places with deep authentic old Boston routes. If I went bald tomorrow I’ll still be there a couple times a month no question. As crazy as it may sound, I leave there feeling so much better emotionally and not just because of the haircut.

I look at things in life as "The Great Three." 1 - The cut that looks right - My childhood barbershop the one that was right for the time but had to move on. 2 - The Hard Love - this one taught me the lesson on what cut works for me but again had to move on. 3 - The Barbershop that lasts - The cuts are beyond great, the conversations are engaging and welcoming. The barbers and other patrons are all easy to talk with. Great music and TVs are always on. Leather chairs while you wait. Shop is open for 10/12 hours a day, making it convenient.
