The Famous Barber Shop

Atmosphere is great! People are very friendly and my Barber was awesome!! She had no problem talking and having a good time! Sometimes you go to the barber and they can’t stand when you try and small talk or just ask how there day has been! The line she cut where very straight and clean! I will be back here for my next hair cut!

On the tail end of a bad customer service experience at a different barbershop, I headed to the Famous Barber Shop about 10 minutes before they closed on a Saturday evening. The lady was locking the door, but had customers inside in the barber chairs. She saw me and I asked her if she was closed, and she said yes, but "come in". That was the great customer service indication that I needed. Since then (October) I've been a loyal customer. My haircuts have always been good, but I'm rating them as very good because of their customer service, combined with their cuts, and their price, which is better than average.

I showed a picture multiple times of what I wanted and he took way too much off the top. I now have to get the top buzzed just to look semi clean and professional for my job. My fringe looks like a roller coaster and the fade was blended horribly. Stay away from here if you actually care about your hair.

I’m not one to post negative reviews or impact anyone’s livelihood but in this case I felt the need to do so. If you care at all about your appearance and your hair, I would avoid this spot. While the price is reasonable (at $20), I required another haircut to mend the damage to my hair. The lady that cut my hair was completely unqualified, uninterested and lacked the customer service etiquette as well. It was such a negative experience that I needed to post this review to warn others.

I usually have Nguyen cut my hair and she does an excellent job. The price is great and includes a straight razor shave of sideburns & back of neck. Also a hot towel application. I have been going there for the past 10 years.
