Crystal was recommended by another trusted hair stylist I've gone to for years, to get box braids for my teen daughter. I am so glad I booked with TheCrystalEffect, she is professional and extremely talented. It can be difficult to find good hair stylists, so when you find a gem- you stick with that gem. My daughter's box braids were beautiful, and considering how thick and long her hair is and the fact Crystal also detangled it as well- she's actually works pretty quickly, but does a fantastic job. We will definitely be back as returning clients moving forward. My daughter, who can be tender-headed at times, was as happy as I was with the service- all smiles. So grateful to have a local talented, professional braider we can book. Highly recommend Crystal!

My 2nd visit was even better than the 1st. This time I opted for smedium knotless braids. Her sectioning is precise and the end result was amazing. It was a new experience that made me love getting my hair braided again! I didn't have to get my hair. She was on time, finished before the sun went down. I am tender-headed and it was like I didn't feel anything🥰 We chatted it up, had a couple of breaks to eat and finished within my budget too! Lord knows I needed a new stylist and Crystal is it! What I love most about her service is that I don't feel uncomfortable while she's doing my hair. In detangling, braiding, everything, my scalp doesn't hurt. She's also really time efficient, and always finish my hair before the deadline. Lastly she's a cool person.

Have been here multiple times, and the work done by Crystal for my cornrows/braids have been amazing. The hospitality given from her have been great. Came in the shop feeling good, left the shop feeling great with my hair done. If you need a natural hair salon, as an African-American women, this is the place to go for all hair care needs.
