THE COMMON DITCH SOCIAL

I have been a member and Linda has been my stylist for many years now, and always takes excellent care of me. Galina, Marianna, and Dasha, and for that matter everyone there, are wonderful, and the reason I keep coming back. The frequent events with live music and tastings hosted by distilleries enhance the experience and elevate it from being simply a place to take care of my grooming needs; it truly is a social environment, more so than many event venues that I have frequented over the years. On a quiet afternoon it’s an oasis in a busy city, where I can shoot some pool and just relax.

I love this barbershop. The entire experience is unusual service oriented, pleasant and different. E.g the in house pool table and bar. Different staff do different things, e.g. beard trim, manicure, haircut, wash etc.

I've been coming here for years. Staff is always welcoming, attentive and friendly plus the beers are perfect temperature cold. You're allowed to keep a bottle of your favored liquor which adds to the appeal. Shoot a game of pool while you wait or catch up on your sports or financial news is the lounge area.

I always wait at least 6 months after starting at a new barber before submitting a review so I can give an honest opinion. I've been going to the Common Ditch Social (CDS) for about 9 months now. I live a block away and I've tried almost every barber in the Financial District, each time I was totally disappointed. The CDS was different from the beginning. I reached out to the owner, Marianna for information. She wrote back immediately and asked great follow up questions and ultimately, based on my needs, she paired me with Miguel and invited me to try them out. The word 'social' isn't just in their name for no reason, this place is serious about being a social center of our community. The Common Ditch is the friendliest highest quality stylists in the city. Have been a client for well over a decade and love my stylist Linda and the staff. It’s affordable, an incredible community and space, and a needed break in my busy day.
