Excellent place! Brought my daughter for her first "big girl" braids, and the stylists were very kind and warm, making it easy for my daughter to trust the process and not be afraid. I've had several of my own traumatic experiences with other "stylists" here in Atlanta, not the case at all here. Very professional, very clean, very friendly, beautiful braids. Highly recommend!

Vanessa is the best! She has the sweetest personality and makes sure that you’re comfortable from start to finish. I’m very tender headed and have coarse type 4 hair but she delivers effortlessly every time. I can be very picky so I really appreciate how she focuses on every little detail to make sure your braids are exactly how you like them. I can’t wait to book with her at the new salon and recommend her to anyone looking for a top tier braider with gentle hands.

I bring my daughter here. She always looks amazing and has the best experience with all stylists. The owner is so knowledgeable about authentic techniques, the types of braids and twists that wil last with her hair texture and length and care between appointments.

Vanessa has being doing my hair since Uni days, I’m very particular of who does my hair and I promise she does not disappointed. She is very professional like her customer service is top tier, cleanliness is also 💯 and she makes sure you love your hair every step of the way. I’m so happy she now has a salon. If you need to get your hair done and your are in Buford, Lawrenceville or anywhere in Georgia you should give her a try I can guarantee you will always go back like forreal I now live in Houston and still fly there to get my hair done. 10 stars to The African Braid Bar! This is the best hair studio I’ve been to!!! I needed to get a special hairstyle for a special event. My braider was not only able to do my hair just like the picture I showed her but she was very gentle and did not pull my hair out. It didn’t hurt as it usually would when I get my hair braided by other braiders. I had no soreness at all. She was very careful not to pull on my hair so I didn’t lose any. She took the time to stop and make sure I liked it before she continued. She also took the time to make sure my parts were even and the braids were the same size. She is very skilled and I highly recommend this braiding studio. You will get your money’s worth.
