Sy Khadi African Hair Braiding

I got my hair braided today at this salon and I must say I was a little nervous because I have had bad experiences at other braiding shops. I’m glad to report that the women were so nice, welcoming and patient! I love my hair but I would go back off of the customer service alone. Overall, neat braids, good pricing and my appointment started on time. I’ll be back to update my review with a photo of my braids. Update: Please note, the photos of my braids are after having them for some weeks, and they still look pretty good. They looked even better when they were freshly done.

Literally braided my hair so tight I got tension patches on my scalp. Genuinely lucky I don’t take legal action honestly. Paid $160 to have my scalp ruined. Would dispute with my bank if it wasn’t cash only. Guess they do that on purpose.

I’ve had the absolute best experience at this hair braiding salon! The owner is incredibly professional, friendly, and truly attentive to every detail. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. She really listens to what you want and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire process. The quality of the braids is neat, beautiful, and exactly what I envisioned. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for expert service in a warm and respectful environment. Best salon in Jersey City. Khadi gives the best prices and she makes sure her girls do you hair right. She always checks in throughout the braiding process. I’ve been going to braiding shops all my life, I was so happy when I found her shop moving to Jersey City.

This is fabulous as always! The woman who owns it is so nice and she remembers you. I started going here when I moved back to the area. I get a basic braid done nothing special. But it’s always great and they don’t snatch your edges and cause balding. I see beautiful styles created and the prices are great. If need a new braid spot go here!!!
