I arrived at 8:50 AM for my 9AM appointment, however, nobody showed up until 9:30 AM. I was the first one to arrive and yet, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes to get washed. I have been passed off to multiple braiders, braiders taking multiple breaks. It is 2:51 PM and my hair is still not done & my braider is walking around like she has nothing to do

I really didn’t want to write this review, but I feel it’s necessary so the owners can address some serious issues with customer service. I’m originally from Ethiopia but was raised here, and most of the employees at this establishment appear to be Ethiopian as well. When I walked in, I wasn’t greeted—just met with cold stares, as if I had done something wrong. Honestly, it felt more personal than professional. Unfortunately, this kind of attitude—especially from some of our own community, particularly among women—often stems from insecurity, and I’ve seen it too many times to ignore. I came here walk-in as my regular place could not take me same day. The pros: I got my hair done in boho french curl which was done well and neatly. Price is also pretty good, I paid $180 plus $30 for the hair. The Cons: Customer service is really lacking. I called on the phone to make sure I could walk in and the person I spoke to sounded uninterested like yeah whatever. The first braider assigned to me was on facetime as I tried to explain what hair/style I wanted. She seemed more engaged in that than on me. When I asked for the price she wasnt sure. They then switched me to a different braider bc she had come into work earlier and I guess that means she gets a client first. This braider was really nice and did a good job but still it took so long to get started. I followed her around

I really didn’t want to write this review because the owner is so sweet. However, the braiding part of this shop is so unprofessional. I had an appointment for 9:30am but the shop didn’t open until 10:30am. I got there early and waited almost an hour and a half to get in. When I finally got inside they assigned me to a braider, the braider I was assigned to took one look at me and said something in Amharic but little did she know that I understood her. She basically frowned upon me because my hair was short , she then proceeded to go to another customer in the room with longer/fuller hair than mine and was practically praising her for her length in front of me. Sarah is amazing!! It is SO VERY hard to find a braider with a soft hand. If your hair is thin/fine and breaks easily, please go see her!! She is very light handed and will NOT rip out your hair! She takes her time and her braids are neat. My scalp feels fine. My head/scalp is literally only sore on the 3 Braider’s that a coworker did to help. I got longer boho braids. I highly recommend Sarah!
