Studio Two Hair & Nail Salon

Unfortunately had a really bad gel manicure experience today. My friend and I both got gel manicures; the owner said she was quite busy (her helper may have called out?) but we were the only people in the salon for over an hour. Even still, the actual service was horrible. To start, she drilled off both of our old gel (instead of soaking) to the point where she was taking layers and layers of nail off. She cut my friend’s finger so badly that it took multiple tissues to stop the bleeding, then seemed to blame it on her “thin skin” instead of on how she was rushing. The nails themselves were sloppy and unfinished. Mine were hardly filed, none are the same shape, and they’re uneven. I almost never leave reviews but this was such a horrific experience that I had to write this. It has taken me 2 days to process what happened and watch my nails go from bad to worse. Back story: whenever I come to Corning to visit family, my grandmother and I like to spend time together and get our nails done. She has later stage Parkinson’s disease and struggles to walk at times, sometimes shakes, and can’t speak very loud. But staying stylish and remaining active is really important to her. We’ve been to several other nail salons in Corning and have had positive experiences overall with gel manicure and pedicure. The owner won’t honor the full amount of my gift certificate, which is actually against state law. Do not spend your money here!

My daughter got her nails done for prom. They cost $70 and they look horrible. The are all mis-shapen with gobs of glue on the edges. This is ridiculous. This place is one of the most expensive places around and they look like this! Sad!

Such a fun atmosphere...my toes look awesome!!
