I got a haircut with Dee after all the great reviews and left so disappointed and sad about how ugly my haircut was. The layers look like it’s been bitten by a dog, they are not natural, or smooth at all. And she couldn’t really understand or communicate in English what she meant and I’m not sure if she understands me. She did offer to have the owner fix it but I’ve lost confidence in this place. Doesn’t seem like they know what they are doing with women’s hair

I got my haircut from Dee and asked for a high fade. She was both skillful and pleasant to talk to. Dee listened carefully to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions without being pushy. She also made sure I was completely satisfied by offering to incrementally adjust my haircut if I wanted it shorter. Overall, the haircut was excellent and looked far more professional than what I've received elsewhere in this price range. Dee took her time and never rushed through the process. I also really enjoyed our conversation. She shared interesting stories about her background and was equally great at listening. I left feeling confident and well taken care of. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend Dee to anyone looking for a quality haircut and great experience!

I had my haircut with Dee, and she was so so wonderful! She was so gentle, sweet, thorough, and did my hair so so spectacularly! I've never had anyone put so much care and work into blowing my hair out, haha :] I plan to come back again for my next haircut, and would recommend you book with Dee as well, especially if you have Asian hair (I'm Japanese).

I am beyond furious with my experience at Street Salon on Newbury Street! I went in with a clear vision for my hair and specifically told the barber no more than a 2 on the sides and a trim on the top in the area where it was uneven. He (Elle)completely ignored me and decided to do whatever he felt like! Who does he think he is, telling me that my hairstyle "didn't suit me" and that I need to "be more mature" a COMPLETELY unprofessional statement to make while I was in his hands. After he completely shaved the back of my type 3A hair he used gel to slick back my hair... I'm an educated working professional, and I deserve to be treated with respect, not condescension! It's painfully obvious that this barber has ZERO understanding of textured hair and absolutely NO business working in a sal
